Jolene will perform a solo at The Gas Station Theatre’s annual cabaret fundraiser. Showtime, 7:00pm.
This show often sells out and features a gallery exhibition as well as an amazing line up of local artists (and it is also a rockin’ good time).

International Dance Day Ceremony at the Legislative Grounds, Noon-1:00pm, free
Jolene Bailie, Claire Marshall and Tiffany Thomas will perform a short excerpt from new work in progress, created by Jolene Bailie, between 12:15 and 12:30pm in this outdoor event.

International Dance Day was introduced in 1982 by the International Dance Committee of the UNESCO International Theatre Institute to increase the awareness of the importance of dance among the general public, as well as to persuade governments all over the world to provide a place for dance in all systems of education.

Bill Evans has been a performer since childhood, making thoursands of appearances with ballet, modern dance and tap companies and as a solo concert artist. Former Artistic Director of Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancer’s in the mid-80′s, Mr. Evans was named one of the USA’s three favorite tap dance artists in Dance Magazine’s Reader’s Poll (along with Savion Glover and Brenda Buffalino). He is known for his dynamic range, his expressivity, his musicality and his unique fusion of rhythm tap dance and modern dance. This is a rare opportunity to see an incredible artist do what he loves best, dance! A heart-warming, inspiring and magical show.
